Week #10 - 10/20/2009

Hey everyone! I am just going to jump right on in to it this week.

First up is a group out of the UK, Band of Skulls. This trio’s sound is reminiscent of The Bravery and Franz Ferdinand. They fuse crafty blues with ballesy slabs of atmospheric indie rock to generate a sound that is haunting and captivating. They released their debut album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, this year and will have a song featured on the “New Moon” movie soundtrack. This week’s song for Band of Skulls is “I Know What I Am”.

Next is Sea Wolf. Alex Church, a California native, is Sea Wolf; he is the singer and songwriter and will add other members to his vision as warranted. When making his music he will look to local authors for inspiration for his songwriting. I have “You a Wolf” from the EP, Get to the River Before it Runs to Low released in May 2007.
